History and specifications[edit | edit source]
One vessel of this type was the USS ibn Majid, registry number NCC-75710, although details of that vessel's existence were purged from Federation record-keeping as part of an ongoing coverup of the activities of Zhat Vash infiltrator Commodore Oh.
This type of heavy cruiser was in use circa the 2380s decade until at least the year 2390. The vessels had a standard planform, with a saucer section primary hull, a stardrive section secondary hull connecting two nacelle pylons and warp nacelles. (PIC episodes: "The End is the Beginning", "Broken Pieces")

Background[edit | edit source]
The ship's type as a heavy cruiser was established in dialogue in "The End is the Beginning". A small identifying placard with the ship silhouette and registry number appeared in "Broken Pieces". The class of the ship itself was not named in any production mentioning the vessel, although showrunner Michael Chabon has had social media conversations stating class names he would like to give these vessels. Owing to the ephemeral nature of social media "stories", this information is not able to be linked or cited here.
