Felicia Mello was a Human woman, a Starfleet lieutenant in the 23rd century.

Biography[]

While a cadet at Starfleet Academy, she was known to Garace, who described her as never being punctual. (TOS comic: "The Trouble with Transporters!")

In 2285, she served as a science officer aboard the Federation starship USS Surak under Captain Spock. (ST - Who's Who in Star Trek comic: "Issue 2")

During the ship's visit to Verdee, A prototype transporter disruptor interfered with her beaming to the surface. She took on ghostlike qualities, floating like an apparition aboard the Surak. She appeared in First Officer Brinks quarters but was unable to communicate with her. Later, Garace and Spock were able to adjust the technology and restore her to normal. (TOS comic: "The Trouble with Transporters!")

Later that year, nearly all of Surak's crew were killed by an unknown pathagen unknowingly brought aboard the ship from a derelict class VI Aakenn-class freighter. (TOS - The Doomsday Bug! comic: "Death Ship!")

Garace was listed as having died in the line of duty and awarded posthumous honors. (ST - Who's Who in Star Trek comic: "Issue 2")

Characters in this era of Star Trek comics were not typically drawn with detailed rank insignia markings visible on their Starfleet uniforms, so it was not completely clear if Mello was a lieutenant or lieutenant junior grade. For the purposes of this wiki, a lieutenant rank insignia is shown.
