The Klingon Helmsman was a member of Kring's crew who was on duty on the bridge when the cruiser received a distress call from the Federation mining colony on Angrena.
When Kring ordered him to set a course for Angrena, he questioned the commander about rescuing the Humans, but Kring put his mind at rest by telling him that they were really going to "secure" the colony's tritanium supply. (TOS - Star Trek: The Manga - Uchu comic: "Art of War")
