Lieutenant Coris Sprint was a male Bijani born on the planet Bijan II in 2232. He was a graduate of Starfleet Academy, class of 2351. Sprint formed a friendship with cadets Ralph Furlong and Anastasia Targus. Cadet Coris Sprint excelled in tactical training and earned a security weapons rating of level 5.
In 2365, the Cardassian Union conducted several raids into Federation territory. Sprint's former classmate, Anastasia Targus, was captured in one such raid. The Federation citizens captured during these raids were tortured by the Cardassian Obsidian Order.
While Lieutenant Ralph Furlong led another rescue mission, Lieutenant Coris Sprint led a force of Starfleet officers onto a Cardassian vessel near the planet Tanaka. He personally rescued Lieutenant Anastasia Targus along with 15 others. For his actions that day, Sprint was awarded the Federation Ribbon of Merit with Cluster, the Red Cordin, and the Norkan Alliance Crystal Button because of his "unparalleled bravery and innovation."
As a Bijani, Lieutenant Sprint has the ability to endure great pain, by a process known as a Bijani pain trance. Like all members of his race, Lieutenant Sprint can compartmentalize his higher brain functions in a protected area of his brain. This allows Sprint to complete complex tasks free from the awareness of pain or fear. Because of this ability, Sprint's friends are fond of saying that he is "tough as an ox".
Despite his advanced tactical skills, Sprint was tragically killed by a Borg drone four hours before the Battle of Wolf 359 in January, 2367. (ST video game: Borg)
- Onscreen, Sprint was played by frequent Trek actor Tarik Ergin.
