The original cover art was done by Eddie Jones, and the 1990s reprint cover was done by Kazuhiko Sano. Overseas editions were published first by Corgi Books, with an original wraparound painted cover, and then by Titan Books, featuring a still photo image from TOS episode: "Spectre of the Gun".
