Fillandia was a planet, the first planet in orbit of Bartz' Star. It was the homeworld of the interstellar, centaur-like Ariolo.

Fillandia had no axial tilt and was tidally locked to its star. With no seasons or moon, and half its surface in perpetual daylight, daily temperatures normally reached 35°C but sometimes hit 50°C. Tropical forests and mountain ranges covered most of the planet's single continent. Hazards included active volcanoes, earthquakes, and frequent electrical storms. The crust's mineral content was 29% normal metals, 2% special minerals and only trace amounts of gemstones and crystals. A year was 289.4 standard days long.

During an event known as the Elarioh Saliwah, a series of extreme earthquake and volcanic events nearly brought the Ariolo civilization to ruin.

By the 2280s, Fillandia had a planetary trade profile of GBDCECF/B (C) and a technological/sociopolitical index of 975774-55.
