In the mirror universe, Finney was a young bridge officer in the Imperial Starfleet. In 2277, Finney was stationed aboard the ISS Enterprise, and was on bridge duty when Captain Spock and Ensign Saavik assassinated Emperor Hoshi Sato III. Finney subsequently sent the imperial tailors to Spock's quarters so that his wife, Marlena Moreau could be fitted for new clothing. (TOS - Glass Empires novella: The Sorrows of Empire)

Finney's gender is not given in the novel but, due to the character's youth, is likely the "'mirror counterpart" of Jamie Finney.
