A flanarian bird was an avian lifeform native to planet Betazed. They were mostly cobalt-blue, with white heads and orange legs and feet. Like the Canadian geese of Earth and the mah-tor-pahlahs of Vulcan, flanarian birds mated for life. (ST - The Lost Era novel: Well of Souls)
