Fletcher was a 24th century Human man, a command division officer serving in Starfleet in the 2380s decade aboard the USS Cerritos under the command of Captain Carol Freeman.

Biography[]

Fletcher attended Starfleet Academy with Brad Boimler, who recalled him as being a competent guy.

Once assigned to the Cerritos in 2380, however, he grew unnerved about his duties. He said he'd take care of a task while Boimler and Beckett Mariner joined a Chu Chu dance, but panicked and attempted to enhance his cerebral cortex with an isolinear core. The action backfired, with the core running rampant through the ship. Mariner ejected it into space, where it entered and disabled an attacking Drookmani salvager, ending a crisis. Boimler and Mariner creatively explained what happened, leading to Fletcher earning a promotion and transfer to the USS Titan. Six days later, though, they "fired" him. (LD episode: "Terminal Provocations")

Boimler recommended him, and he rejoined the crew of the Cerritos.

In 2381, Fletcher got trapped by the malevolent artificial intelligence Badgey on the ship's holodeck. along with many of the ship's crew. Mariner sought a safe assignment for him that would be helpful during the lower deckers' effort to earn enough merit points for Badgey to release them. Boimler suggested that it should have little responsibility or stakes, and selected the Risa simulation. Fletcher was eager to please. (LD video game: The Badgey Directive episode: "Quis Custodiet Custard")

While trapped by Badgey, Fletcher accepted a dare and drank too much coffee. He panicked that his heart rate was too high, but Tendi reassured him in sickbay that it wasn't fatal. (LD video game: The Badgey Directive episode: "Fear Doctor")
