Fletcher Christian (25 September 1764 – 20 September 1793) was an 18th century Human man, a sailor known for leading a famous mutiny.
Biography[]
From 1787 to 1789, he served under the command of Lieutenant William Bligh aboard the cutter HMS Bounty during the ship's voyage to Tahiti. (historical accounts)
On 28 April 1789, the crew refused Bligh's orders to leave Tahiti and return to England. Christian led the crew to mutiny. (VOY novel: The Black Shore, historical accounts)

In 2063, Australian Koro Quintal's appearance and behavior suggested to Captain James T. Kirk that he was likely an ancestor of one of Christian's fellow mutineers. (TOS novel: Strangers from the Sky)
In 2373, as Kathryn Janeway and Chakotay discussed the potential for a crew mutiny sparking from the crew's enjoyable shore leave on Ryolanov, she mentioned the Bounty. Chakotay vaguely recalled having run a holographic program of the mutiny at Starfleet Academy. Janeway hoped he hadn't portrayed Christian, and he didn't think so. (TOS novel: The Black Shore)
