Ford Motor Company was a Human vehicle production company. Based in Michigan, the automaker was founded by Henry Ford and incorporated on June 16, 1903.
From a Human point of view, fitting Romulan parts to Klingon starships was akin to using high-class Rolls-Royce parts on the more common Ford vehicles. (TOS novel: The Romulan Way)
