"Forewarned and Three-Armed" is the first TAS short story and also the story debut of long-time magazine contributor Rich Handley. Published in the digital subscriber edition of Star Trek Explorer, Issue 10 in January 2024, it showcased illustrations by Philip Murphy and Aaron Harvey. The story featured Arex Na Eth returning to his homeworld of Edos after a long absence.
