Doctor Foris Hajan was an unjoined male Trill in the 23rd century. He was a senior member of the Symbiosis Institute's evaluation team, and had recommended, prior to his joined with Dax, that Joran Belar be expelled from the initiate program. Hajan took the opportunity, six months after Joran's joining, to check up on his former student. Immediately afterwards, he was murdered by Joran in his office at the Symbiosis Institute.
