Memory Beta, non-canon Star Trek Wiki

The Fortress of Doom was Doctor Chaotica's fictional citadel on Planet X in the 20th century science fiction series The Adventures of Captain Proton.

History and specifics[]

Chaotica intended the castle be nigh-impregnable, as it was built atop a mountain and defended by a lightning shield. Its throne room showcased his raised throne, death ray, and the "Cradle of Persuasion" brain probe torture device. Forcefield confinement rings generated from the floor could secure anyone walking over his crest. (VOY episode: "Bride of Chaotica!", Star Trek: The Magazine vol. 2, Issue 11: "Briefing: Captain Proton")

The fortification also contained the Dungeon of Pain. (VOY episode: "Bride of Chaotica!", VOY - Star Trek: Explorer short story: "Kill Captain Proton!")

Captain Proton and Buster Kincaid once infiltrated the fortress through its underground caverns. (VOY episode: "Bride of Chaotica!")

Later, they discovered that the facility's underground entrance was now guarded by Lizard People. (VOY - Star Trek: Explorer short story: "Kill Captain Proton!")

In chapter 39 of the serial, "Captain Proton and the Mean, Bad, Dirty, Stinking Robot", Proton and Kincaid destroyed the drainage system under the fortress. Afterward, Chaotica had weapons battery cannons placed strategically along a ridge to defend it. (VOY novel: Children of the Storm)
