How many pages are there on the Memory Alpha wiki, such as the one for the Aammazaran species, which are not also on this wiki? -- unsigned

In general, the only pages on Memory Alpha that would not be eligible to be versioned to Memory Beta are pages about actors, directors, writers and production staff who worked on canon episodes and films but have not participated in any tie-ins, or some of their specific listings of episodes, nondescript merchandising, people and dates regarding topics which are not part of licensed publications such as books or games -- captainmike Site-logo.png 03:01, August 25, 2020 (UTC)
(and we do have info on Aaamazzarites and Zaranites, if that's what you're asking) -- captainmike Site-logo.png 03:02, August 25, 2020 (UTC)
The alien species you mentioned were called "Aammazaran" in the Star Trek: The Official Fan Club Magazine issue 56 and "Zaranite" in the Star Trek IV Sourcebook Update. I assume we favor the name Zaranite because the RPG book is an in-universe source, while the magazine is an out-of-universe source. The name Aammazaran is obviously a misremembered version of "Aaamazzarite", carelessly applied to a different alien species by some production staffer, so I'm glad we use the name Zaranite. --NetSpiker (talk) 14:22, August 25, 2020 (UTC)

I was told in my other forum creation that we can only talk about wiki entries. Yet here we are in this thread allowing conversation. I would like to know the difference please and thank you. I want to talk to people about Trek.
