|Ten Forward → Block amnesty (Reply | Watch)|
As part of a generalized push by FANDOM (our site hosts) to regularize aspects of the larger community of wiki communities, I have asked the site maintenance to clear all pre-existing blocks and bans of users.
The new rules policy is simply that rules must be clear to users new and old, and that administrative action should only be taken if it is the result of a rule calling for that action - therefore, any pre-existing block actions taken at the leisure of our former or current admins, are negated.
This site is almost 16 years old and many such things pre-date even my time as sole active bureaucrat, and I want a clean slate as we move forward. Remember, our Fandom is supposed to bring us joy, that's a core value of our site hosting --- and I feel we are in a great position to move forward as an open community under a concrete mission statement to encyclopedi-ize all non-canon (as long as it is official & licensed) Star Trek. -- captainmike 16:18, 16 March 2021 (UTC)
- Wow, intriguing move. It might rattle vandals of times past, but I'm hoping this could encourage somebody to take a chance to contribute. Kind regards, -- Markonian 20:24, 16 March 2021 (UTC)
