Fosse Menagerie was a zoo, a landmark in San Francisco.
History and specifics[]
The facility covers 200 acres and supports thousands of alien species in native habitats. It was founded through an act of the Federation Council. (Last Unicorn RPG module: A Cadet's Guide to Sector 001 Earth)
It was located adjacent to the Starfleet Headquarters campus, maintained by Starfleet, and open to the public. Starfleet officers hold marriage ceremonies there, and hundreds of scientific researchers study the lifeforms. It featured an impressive selection of flora and a traditionally landscaped garden, frequented by tourists.
Exhibits included two Bardakian pronghorn moose, a pride of Kryonian tigers, a pod of blastoneurons and a swarm of lynars. (Last Unicorn RPG module: The Price of Freedom)
