Foster was a Human man, a member of Starfleet who served aboard the Federation starship USS Enterprise in the 2260s decade.

Biography[]

In the year 2266, Foster was a member of the landing party to an asteroid in the Nabu system, along with Kent, James T. Kirk and an unnamed officer. Foster was the first to spot large banks of equipment which dispensed food, water and clothing. He suggested to Targu that his people might be able to leave the asteroid once an electronic field was disrupted. He assessed the controls of a small spacecraft before the landing party was detained and shackled by Targu's people. Foster was the first to spot the exhaust of a rescue ship, and was able to untie Kirk's bonds before the group returned to the Enterprise. (TOS comic: "The Devil's Isle of Space")

Foster wore a red uniform shirt with no sleeve stripe, suggesting that he might be a security officer with a rank of ensign. However, his shirt insignia was for command rather than operations.
