Foxtrot XIII was a lifeless asteroid five hundred kilometers in diameter that served as a border post for the Federation against the Romulan Star Empire. This was only one of a series of such "Foxtrot" border outposts.

It's weapons were upgraded and personnel rotated in 2311. (TLE novel: Serpents Among the Ruins)
