Francis Queeg

Francis Queeg is a fictional character from The Caine Mutiny, a popular 20th century Pulitzer Prize-winning book from the planet Earth written by Herman Wouk. He was the strict, unpopular CO of the USS Caine.

Legacy[]

In 1999, a time traveling Spock and Q shook hands, but the contact inadvertently swapped their personalities and left them on an asteroid hurtling toward Earth. Now without his powers, Q started to babble paranoid nonsense. Seeing a parallel to their current situation, Spock retorted, "Don't forget the strawberries, Captain Queeg". Q replied, "That's right, what happened to the strawberries", calming him down as he recalled the point of the scene. (ST audiobook: Spock vs. Q: The Sequel)
