Francium (symbol Fr) is a chemical element, atomic number 87 on the periodic table.

Characteristics and history[]

Francium, in its most stable form, has an atomic mass of 223, and was discovered by Humans for the first time on Earth's European continent in the year 1939. This element was named for the location of its discovery, France. (ST reference: Star Fleet Medical Reference Manual)
