Frenchy was the nickname of a fictional 20th century Human, a character featured in the 24th century holonovel Tigers of the Deep.

Fictional biography[]

In the 1940s decade, Frenchy served as an engineer aboard an American submarine during World War II under the command of Dick Fuller. Fuller and Frenchy both retired after the war.

In the 1950s, Fuller hired Frenchy for a freelance assignment investigating ship disappearances in the Bermuda Triangle, visiting in the middle of a bar brawl. Unfortunately, during a game of poker with Señora Yma Árbol, Frenchy bet and lost the new engine that was supposed to be installed aboard the decommissioned submarine USS Bengal. Fuller had to win back the engine.

Frenchy, mechanical engineer Carmen Fuller, and others were able to get the sub operational. Frenchy joined their adventure, discovering the sunken city of Atlantis, battling the Russian pirate sub Yakutsk that was commanded by Árbol, and helping defuse a bomb on their ship.

History[]

In 2371, Ensign Hasui roleplayed Frenchy when crewmates ran the holographic program on a starship holodeck. At one point in the game, she couldn't participate, and the role was taken over by the computer. (Last Unicorn RPG - Holodeck Adventures module: Tigers of the Deep)
