The Furiadon was a carnivorous dinosaur species native to the Delta Quadrant. The Voth trained Furiadons as soldiers and installed cybernetic implants in their bodies. Such a creature was called bio-engineered Furiadon. The Furiadon body plan was reminiscent of that of the Tyrannosaurus rex. The shuttle-sized Furiadon was smaller than the three-story tall Viriosaurus rex but larger than the raptor-like Dankanasaur. (STO - Solanae Dyson Sphere mission: "Supply Woes")

Bio-engineered Furiadon[]

The Voth bred and trained several types of dinosaurs to use as shock troops. The bio-engineered Furiadon's helmet was armed with antiproton directed energy weapon emitters on each side of the jaw's joints. Body armor covered parts of the body. The Furiadon could easily withstand a barrage of weapons fire of any sort. It was the second largest dinosaur in the Voth army. (STO - Solanae Dyson Sphere mission: "Supply Woes")

History[]

When the United Federation of Planets, the Klingon Empire and the Romulan Republic allied to fight against the Voth for the supremacy of the Solanae Dyson Sphere in the year 2409, the Voth unleashed bio-engineered dinosaurs on the battlefields to assist their own troops. The Alpha Quadrant powers were surprised to encounter living, breathing dinosaurs. In the central spire of the Contested Zone, Furiadons patrolled the park area of the ground battlezone, often accompanied by Dankanasaurs. Two particular Furiadons encountered by Allied teams were Rex Axxara and Rex Bazratat. (STO - Solanae Dyson Sphere missions: "Circles within Circles", "Supply Woes")

In 2410, Alpha Quadrant Alliance commanding officers claimed two-meter tall Furiadons as ground combat pets after repeatedly raiding the Voth Fortress Ship. This Furiadon would serve its master loyally and only transport down from the ship to partake in combat. After several minutes, or when enemy fire incapacitated the pet Furiadon, it would be beamed back aboard. (STO - Victory Is Life mission: "Breach")
