Gagarin Crater was a meteorite impact crater, a landmark on Luna.

History and specifics[]

The crater was 265 kilometers in diameter and located in the moon's southern hemisphere at coordinates 20°S latitude and 150°E longitude.

The crater was south of Mendeleev Crater and Luna 2, and was the site of the Nightside settlement. (Last Unicorn RPG module: Starfleet Academy "Luna Planetary Index")

The crater was named for Soviet cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin.
