The Galileo III (NCC-1701/3) was a Starfleet shuttlecraft assigned to the Federation starship USS Enterprise during the 2280s decade.
Service history and disposition[]
The Galileo III was capable of warp travel with the addition of a warp sled that could be added easily. In the year 2285, Lieutenant Saavik used the Galileo III to travel into an articial wormhole that had been created by the Klingons, as a diversion so that Admiral Kirk could infiltrate the facility. (TOS comic: "The Wormhole Connection")
Saavik attempted to evade the attack shuttlecraft, but was captured and brought to the Klingon space station. (TOS comic: "... The Only Good Klingon...")
