Gallitep was a forced labor camp located on Bajor that was run by Gul Darhe'el during the Occupation of Bajor.
History[]
In 2357, the camp was liberated by the Shakaar Resistance Cell, of which Kira Nerys was a part. One of the Bajorans liberated was a brother of future militia General Lenaris Holem. (DS9 episodes: "Duet", "Shakaar", ST - Terok Nor novel: Night of the Wolves)
In 2372, when war was briefly declared between Ferenginar and Bajor, Quark, Rom, and several other Ferengi were interned at Gallitep, where they endured hideous treatment at the hands of the camp's insane warden, Colonel Mitra. Mitra may been a prisoner of the Cardassians. (DS9 novel: The 34th Rule)
