The Gamma 7A system was a star system located in sector 39J of the Milky Way Galaxy.
History and specifics[]
In 2268, the USS Intrepid was surveying the Gamma 7A system, during which time, the system and ship were destroyed by a giant space amoeba, and the systems' billions of inhabitants were killed. This amoeba was later stopped by the crew of the USS Enterprise. (TOS episode: "The Immunity Syndrome")
In 2269, the USS Lysander was performing a bench-mark survey near the Gamma 7A system. Lysander was diverted from its assignment in order to escort the Enterprise to the planet Academy. (TOS novel: Planet of Judgment)
In 2259 of the Kelvin timeline created by the Narada's temporal incursion, the USS Enterprise participated in a mission to the system. Said mission earned Nyota Uhura a Special Commendation. (Star Trek App)
