Gamma Ysalis

Gamma Ysalis was a star system, located somewhere in the galaxy's Alpha or Beta Quadrants.

History and specifics[]

Gamma Ysalis was in or near the borders of Federation space in the 2360s decade.

In the year 2368, the Starfleet starship USS Enterprise set course to Gamma Ysalis on a planned mission, but was recalled early after receiving distress call communications from the cadet training vessel USS Tubman. (TNG comic: "Wet Behind the Ears")

It was not revealed whether or not the Enterprise ever continued its trip to Gamma Ysalis. The stellar notation using the Greek language letter "gamma" indicates that there might be a star group or constellation of some sort named "Ysalis", of which Gamma Ysalis would logically be indicated to be the third most prominent star or system.
