Gamzian wine was an intoxicating beverage that was often served in drinking establishments across the Alpha and Beta Quadrants, including Quark's on Deep Space 9 (formerly Terok Nor). (DS9 episodes: "Q-Less", "The Storyteller", "Rivals")
In early 2366, a Cardassian freighter pilot who frequented Quark's, claimed that some invisible force had been trying to sniff his glass of wine. Both he and Quark was able to hear the sound, but Quark passed it off as a problem with the vents. Unknown, to all the patrons, the invisible force was the cloaked form of General Gerrid Thul, who was about to introduce a new version of the terrible Double Helix virus to the station's population. (TNG - Double Helix novel: Vectors)
Quark served Gamzian wine at a reception for Alonis, Bajoran and Trill delegates on Deep Space 9 in 2376. (DS9 - Mission Gamma novel: This Gray Spirit)
