The Ganashia class was a 24th century Federation starship class, a spaceframe co-developed by the Andorians and Tellarites in service in the 2370s and 2380s decades. The first ship of the class was Ganashia (NX-/NCC-83444). (Star Trek Adventures module: Lower Decks Campaign Guide)
History and specifications[]
Technical specifications[]

The Ganashia class was developed by Federation members Andoria and Tellar Prime to provide fleets of vessels for homeworld protection following the losses of the Dominion War in the 2370s. The 22nd century Kumari-class spaceframe of the Andorian Empire saw action in the Earth-Romulan War served as the template, specifically the second Kumari commanded by General Thy'lek Shran.
The spaceframe traits were Federation starship, Andorian starship and Tellarite starship. It housed systems with different ratings: comms 9, engines 10, structure 10, computers 9, sensors 11, weapons 9. This class carried extra command, conn and engineering departments.
Weapon systems consisted of phaser beam arrays, phaser cannons, forward and aft photon torpedo launchers and tractor beam generators. Compared to other Federation starships, the Ganashia class benefited from expanded munitions for the cannons, improved hull integrity and improved power systems. The Ganashia held additional talents: advanced shields and backup EPS conduits. Tellarite and Andorian Ganashia-class ships were fitted with different types of phasers.
While the Andorians focused on improving the warp and impulse drives of their ships, their Tellarite counterparts enjoyed structural reinforcements and additional subspace-compression isolinear computer systems.
Mission profiles includes pathfinder and reconnaissance operations and tactical operations for Andorian Ganashia-class spaceframes and technical testbed and multirole explorers for Tellarite ships. In times of need, these ships could be seconded to Starfleet.
Primary shipyards were the Imperial Fleet Yards of Andoria and the Consolidated Fleet Yards of Tellar Prime.
Ships of the class were named after regions on Andoria and Tellar Prime. The prototype, Ganashia, however was a combination of Andorian and Tellarite language words for "service". Their registry numbers were NCC-83000 or higher. (Star Trek Adventures module: Lower Decks Campaign Guide)
Service history[]

Starbase 25 in 2381.
Ganashia (NX-83444) launched from the Imperial Navy Yards in the year 2378. The launch ceremony included passing by the museum ship Kumari. Its first mission was supporting the terraforming fleet at a moon in the Pincoya star system.
By 2380, Ganashia carried the NCC registry prefix and served as a technical testbed. (Star Trek Adventures module: Lower Decks Campaign Guide)
In 2381, at least one ship of this class was docked at Starbase 25, alongside a modern Kumari-class starship. (LD episode: "An Embarrassment Of Dooplers")
In that year, Starbase 25 and all ships docked to it, including an unnamed Ganashia vessel, were briefly taken over by the ascending holographic artificial intelligence Badgey. (LD episode: "A Few Badgeys More")
