The Gelvor system is a star system within the territory of the Cardassian Union.

In 2371, Gul Dulcet claimed that the crews of the Federation starship USS Voyager and the Maquis ship Val Jean were being held prisoner in the Gelvor system, although this was a deception to fool the Maquis and to have Elim Garak attempt to rescue a kidnapped Dr. Julian Bashir.
