George Washington (February 22, 1732 - December 14, 1799) was a male human on Earth in the 18th century. Born in what was then the British colony of Virginia, Washington became a military officer, serving first for the British, and then as commander-in-chief of the American forces fighting for independence. Following the American Revolution and the establishment of the United States of America, Washington was elected as the nation's first President.
Washington was honored with an obelisk known as the Washington Monument in the city of Washington, DC. (DS9 novelization: Far Beyond the Stars) He was also honored with a carving of his likeness on Mount Rushmore, a monument which also survived at least until the late 23rd century.
