George Washington (February 22, 1732 - December 14, 1799) was a human who lived on Earth during the 18th century. Born in what was then the British colony of Virginia, Washington became a military officer, serving first for the British, and then as commander-in-chief of the American forces fighting for independence. Following the American Revolution and the establishment of the United States of America, Washington was elected as the first President.

Washington was honored with a obelisk known as the Washington Monument, which was built in Washington, DC, which was named after him. (DS9 novelization: Far Beyond the Stars)

Washington was immortalized in a carving on the face of Mount Rushmore, a monument which also survived at least until the late 23rd century. (TOS movie: Star Trek V: The Final Frontier).

On April 30, 1939, the 1939 New York World's Fair opened on the 150th anniversary of George Washington's inauguration. (DS9 novelization: Far Beyond the Stars)
