Giancarlo "Gi" Corsi was a 24th century human. As a young man, he attempted to enroll in Starfleet Academy, but failed to pass the entrance examinations. He instead went on to own and operate a freighting company with his brother Aldo.

In 2355, he convinced his brother to allow Starfleet Intelligence officers to install surveillance equipment aboard their ship, Ulrika's Hope, to monitor Cardassian activities near the Federation border. Tragically, the Cardassians detected the scans and boarded the ship, and Giancarlo was killed in the ensuing firefight. (SCE eBook: Home Fires)

Legacy[]

In the aftermath, Aldo Corsi swore his crew to secrecy. For decades, he blamed Starfleet for his brother's death.

Giancarlo's enthusiasm for Starfleet inspired Aldo's daughter Domenica to eventually attend Starfleet Academy. Aldo's hatred of Starfleet caused a rift between them, which began to heal when Aldo told Domenica the story of her uncle's death in 2376. (SCE eBook: Home Fires)
