GK39-Great-Pyramid

Giza in 2266.

Giza is a city and an historical landmark near the city of Cairo in Egypt on Earth. It is the site of the Great Sphinx and several pyramids, including the Great Pyramid, one of the seven wonders of the ancient world.

History and specifics[]

When Vosk died in 1944, resetting the timeline, Archer saw various historical images, including Giza. (ENT episode: "Storm Front, Part II")

In 2151, Daniels showed Jonathan Archer the Great Pyramid under construction, as viewed by 28th century time travelers, to help explain the Temporal Accord. (ENT episode: "Cold Front")

In 2266, James T. Kirk, Spock, Leonard McCoy and Montgomery Scott visited Giza. The region had been reclaimed from the desert and now had a variety of vegetation. (TOS comic: "Prophet of Peace")

In 2267, the Guardian of Forever projected historical images from Earth. The first image shown was of Giza. (TOS episode: "The City on the Edge of Forever")

In the year 2274, two pyramids were discovered on the surface of Zeta Reticuli II. Leonard McCoy said it looked just like Giza “in Egypt of the Middle Kingdom, around 2,000 B.C.” and James T. Kirk agreed. The site also had a statue resembling the Great Sphinx. (TOS comic: "We Are Dying, Egypt, Dying!")
