Glasgow University was a place of higher learning in the city of Glasgow, in Scotland, on Earth.
History and specifics[]
In 2294, Glasgow University issued several requests to retired Starfleet Captain Montgomery Scott to guest lecture; Scott lived only a few kilometers away, but refused the requests while he dealt with his guilt and depression over the loss of his former commanding officer, James T. Kirk. In a meeting between Scott and Guinan, Scott mentioned that the university was more than nine centuries old and had not changed it facade for three — or its curriculum. (Star Trek novel: Engines of Destiny)
- Officially, the university is known as The University of Glasgow, though Glasgow University or even just Glasgow Uni are far more common names in Scotland itself.
