Lieutenant Glebuk was a Antedean female serving as an officer of the Federation Starfleet in the 24th century.
Biography[]
In 2371, Glebuk was posted to the USS Slayton as helmsman under the command of Captain Karen Blaylock, who considered her one of the best helm officers she knew. This was despite the fact that she, like the rest of her species, was intolerant of the rigors of interstellar travel. In order to get around this problem, she wore a cortical stimulator on her neck, which sent out vertigo-nullifying neural impulses to keep her from going into a self-protective catatonic state while on long space voyages.
In 2372, the Slayton was ordered to Chiaros IV for a diplomatic mission. Not long after their arrival at the planet, a powerful shockwave shook the Slayton. They managed to pinpoint its origin, and Captain Blaylock decided to investigate. When they approached the source, the Slayton crossed into a massive cloaking field and was heavily damaged by it. Lieutenant Glebuk broke her neck when she was thrown over the helm console. (TNG - S31 novel: Rogue)
