Cadet Glen Majors was a male Human student at Starfleet Academy in the 24th century. In 2341, he was a second year student and assigned to the USS Republic as a student leader. Upon accidentally shooting his chaperone, Majors took command of his group of students while on board a Umiiga space station. Eventualy, he decided to shoot Data and hide. He felt his career would be damaged if others knew he was afraid of lizard attack. Upon rescue, Data and Sinna reported his actions. (TNG novel: Secret of the Lizard People)
