A glob fly was an animal found on Qo'noS. It was an insect half the size of a Terran mosquito, which did not sting, but made an irritating buzzing sound. Among them is ghIlab ghewmey tIbuSQo', meaning "Pay no heed to glob flies." (ST reference: The Klingon Way) In 2376, Klag referred to the Kreel as being like glob flies. (TNG novel: Diplomatic Implausibility) In an alternate 2400, Odo shapeshifted into a glob fly aboard the Boreth. It was among the smallest animals Odo felt comfortable transforming into.
