Glowflower was a type of lifeform, a glowing floral plant.

Scotty.

The glowflower was named by Montgomery Scott in the Kelvin timeline. He felt making the name one word instead of two sounded more exotic. (TOS video game: Star Trek)

It is unknown if Scotty in the prime timeline would parallel this event and name it similarly there.
