Gorden was a 23rd century Human man. He served in Starfleet as a security officer aboard the Federation starship USS Enterprise in the 2260s under the command of Captain James T. Kirk.
Biography[]
In 2268, Gorden was a younger officer whom Leonard McCoy thought to be overly eager. Gorden beamed down with McCoy, James T. Kirk, Spock, and Leslie Lebrun when fighting resumed on Distrel to retrieve Harry Mudd. In the Grand Palace of Distrel, after Lebrun was seemingly vaporized by invading Nevisians, Gorden returned fire along a corridor with his phaser. Mudd and the others retreated to a vault, a defensible location to await beam out, but Mudd was shot by crossfire and beamed away by a resurrection transporter. Gorden and the landing party returned to the Enterprise, and Kirk asked Gorden to update security on what happened. (TOS novel: Mudd in Your Eye)
