Gordon Davidson was an Human Starfleet Commander in the 23rd century. He is described as being messy, overweight, and self-centered. (FASA RPG module: The Strider Incident)

History[]

Gordon Davidson was born in the Daraniss region of Daran V. He joined Starfleet out of a lack of better options, not for any love of the job. After graduating, he would fall into a cycle of great engineering work, disregard for authority, and being transferred elsewhere because his postings grew to dislike him.

Davidson's first posting after graduating was the USS Stanford, for four years then was transferred to Starbase 3 for two years. Eventually, he was given a posting at Starbase 11, where he stayed for three years, before being transferred to the USS Windsor, where he stayed for three years.

After that, he was transferred to Defense Outpost 1121, where he managed to stay for at least eight years, and rose to the rank of Chief Engineer of the orbital station. Despite his quality engineering work, Captain Carl Curtis had been trying, in vain, to get Davidson transferred elsewhere. Davidson's duties also included overseeing the repairs of incoming Starfleet vessels. This included the regular arrivals of Task Force 13, as well as the emergency arrival of the USS Lexington in 2283.

When Commodore Astak arrived to review the diplomatic incident created by Bram Harmonson and Kristine Reardon, Davidson managed to avoid all charges, despite his working closely with Curtis, and taking orders directly from Harmonson. (FASA RPG module: The Strider Incident)
