Gorn Planet

Gorn Planet in 2259.

In the Kelvin timeline, Gorn Planet was a planet, a class M world located in the home galaxy of the Gorn Armada. (TOS video game: Star Trek)

History[]

The Gorn native to this galaxy were violent, amoral and expansionist, relying on genetic engineering and weapons of mass destruction to conquer one star system after another. By the mid-23rd century, the conquest by the Gorn Armada was complete.

The Gorn Planet was ravaged by a fleet of Armada ships. A Gorn mothership fired concussive energy pulses at the planet that shattered the planetary crust on the facing hemisphere.

Conquest of the Gorn Planet.

The planet was home to a medieval society. Gorn shock troops ravaged that civilization. The diminutive Lymax remained were left to their own by the Gorn.

In the year 2259, a spacetime rift, called the Rip, opened between the Simon-316 system in the Beta Quadrant of the Milky Way Galaxy and the Gorn Planet's system. The Gorn Commander's mothership went through and sacked the New Vulcan Colony on New Vulcan, and the Helios-1 space station in a nearby binary star system.

The Gorn were engaged by the USS Enterprise, the Federation Starfleet flagship.

On stardate 2259.33, the Enterprise traversed the Rip. A landing party visited the planet, where Captain James T. Kirk and Commander Spock made first contact with the Lymax. While the two officers engaged the Gorn, their military shuttle was attacked by more Gorn troops. Doctor Leonard McCoy was forced to perform a cesarean section on an injured Gorn soldier, who gave birth to octuplets. After defeating a Gorn champion in the arena and foiling the Gorn's plans on the planet, the landing party returned to the Enterprise.

There were two rifts in the system now. Enterprise returned to Milky Way before the Rip to the Gorn Planet system closed, and destroyed the Commander's mothership on their side, ending the thread of Armada invasion. (TOS video game: Star Trek)
