Gralev was a 23rd century Andorian woman (zhen or shen), a career officer in the Federation's Starfleet.
Biography[]
Captain Gralev's specialty in the 2290s decade was as a starship commanding officer, assigned to command of the Federation starship USS Gagarin. In the year 2279, Gagarin was attacked and boarded by Klingons, and Gralev initiated the self destruct to keep it from falling into enemy hands. The Klingons were able to beam her and twenty-eight members of her crew to their own vessel, taking them prisoners of war. Gralev was later tortured to death by her captors for military intelligence.
