The Grand Staircase was a location on the planet Andoria located at the city of Harbortown. It was carved out of the mountain rock with sharply descending stairs merged into the city's central canal street. Overhead were clay-tiled roof with the sides curled up to catch the rain and protected the stairs from the worst of the elements which meant that the path ahead appeared to be dry. A blueish green tread lighting embedded into the steps helped guide traelers safely through them whilst a sprightly ocean breeze tinged with salt spray teased the crooked trees bordering the staircase and sent their aging boughs creaking. In 2376, Thirishar ch'Thane took Prynn Tenmei to the Grand Staircase and allowed her to lead him down the pathway from the bridge to the top of the mountain. (DS9 novel: Andor: Paradigm)
