A grav carrier was a type of enclosed Federation cargo hovercraft used in the 23rd century.

Specifications[]

The KEF-82-class grav carrier was used by all Starfleet branches. Without passengers and with the passenger seats removed, it could ferry up to 0.4 metric tons of cargo up to 100 kilometers per hour for a distance of 1,000 kilometers. Without cargo, it could transport up to five passengers. The vehicle weighed 0.75 metric tons, was unarmed, and could be raised a maximum of 20 meters off the ground. Service history[]

In the 2260s, Cyrano Jones kept a KEF-82-class grav carrier in his cargo ship, the Chameleon. In 2270, Jones ferried cargo from his ship to Genetics Research Station 17 on Aleph III, storing his vehicle in the station's hangar. (FASA RPG - Adventure Book module: Again, Troublesome Tribbles)
