Biography[]
Graves taught the history course. When Ensign James T. Kirk was nicknamed "The Last of the Claudians," Graves remarked that he was more probably an earlier Claudian, Tiberius perhaps. (TOS novel: The Galactic Whirlpool)
- In TNG - Day of Honor novel: Ancient Blood, there was another character named Commander Graves who was also a Starfleet Academy instructor, in the 2320s decade. With a 70+ year gap, it is unlikely the two are the same person, but it is possible the character had an exceptionally long career, or was relieved from the ravages of aging by stasis or time travel. However, for the purposes of this wiki the two are treated as separate characters.
