War-in-Space-debris

Enterprise and debris captured by the gravity weapon.

The gravitational field weapon was a Klingon weapon developed in the early 2270s.

History and specifics[]

The weapon was capable of generating a gravitational field comparable to a small quantum singularity, the effects from which were measurable from quite a distance. Once activated, it drew meteors, debris and other objects within range within its event horizon.

Jadar-at-controls

In the 2270s, the weapon was installed aboard Jadar's battlecruiser, a D7-class Klingon battlecruiser commanded by Jadar. It was operated from a control station aboard the ship, and deployed within the Alpha or Beta Quadrant somewhat near the Omega system.

The USS Enterprise was ensnared, then hit by meteor debris and other matter as it was drawn closer, with Spock estimating that the starship would be crushed within four hours. Antimatter collapsed the gravity field, with the resulting explosion heavily damaging Jadar's ship. The Enterprise was able to leave the area at warp speed. (TOS comic: "War in Space")
