The gray whale (Eschrichtius robustus) was a medium-large cetacean, a baleen whale, indigenous to planet Earth.

In the year 1986, models of an adult whale and its calf were displayed in a glass case at the Cetacean Institute in Sausalito, California. (TOS movie: Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home)
