The Green Phoenix model was a Federation rocket spacecraft, a replica of the prototype Earth warp-ship Phoenix. Along with the other color-coded models, this Phoenix was assembled annually by guests of Federation President Aennik Okeg and launched from the Zefram Cochrane memorial site in Bozeman, Montana to celebrate First Contact Day. (STO - Reckoning mission: "First Contact Day Re-Enactment")

Specifications[]

The Green Phoenix was painted green and stood, when assembled, about three meters tall. The model started out as a hulk on a workbench and assembled with three more parts, E (engines), H (hull) and S (stabilizer). These components could be scavenged from piles of junk placed around the memorial area. The model had warp nacelles but lacked a warp core. Aennik Okeg guided through the assembly process, and the models were beamed automatically onto a fixture on the launchpad. The guest witnessed as their models took off, and the ship one that rose the farthest into the sky. (STO - Reckoning mission: "First Contact Day Re-Enactment")

History[]

From 2409 onward, Federation President Okeg invited commanding officers of the Alpha Quadrant Alliance to visit the site of the Cochrane memorial and build a model replica of the Phoenix. Rewards for participation included a toy rocket and a ship holo-emitter to change a shuttlecraft's appearance to resemble the Phoenix. (STO - Reckoning mission: "First Contact Day Re-Enactment")
